Gamification
I design game mechanics that make people come back: points, levels, challenges and narrative applied to real products. Gamification is not badges — it is designing motivation.
For e-learning platforms fighting churn, SaaS products that need activation, and communities that want participation to mean something. I start from user motivation, design the system — point economy, progression, challenges — and deliver it documented with success metrics.
Real cases
RanqueaCeustack’s own product for running gamified photography leagues: participants upload photos from their phones, a jury scores each one out of 100 and the ranking updates live. As Product Lead I drive product and design.
TenTuPlaza PlatformTenTuPlaza’s new custom e-learning platform — Spain’s nº1 academy for ADIF and RENFE public exams, with 5,000+ students. I lead product and design of the student area: studying the syllabus, practising with a test engine and analysing performance against the group. Being built in phases.
AuraProdsA year as designer at AuraProds, a 3D and audiovisual training school with 14,000+ students: I redesigned its whole public site and built the e-learning campus from scratch, with a gamification system (points, ranks, challenges and monthly briefs) that keeps students coming back.
BeNextA web app for esports, live events and online social life: BeNext Sphere, a "virtual resort" with competition arenas, streaming and social zones, wrapped in a futuristic neon aesthetic. Product and brand design, from research to iteration.
FAQ
Does gamification work in e-learning?
Yes — when it reinforces real learner progress. Decorative badges move nothing; systems designed around learner motivation reduce drop-off.
Which mechanics exist beyond points and badges?
Progression, timed challenges, streaks, internal economies, league rankings, narrative unlocks… The question is which ones fit your users, not how many.
Can you gamify a product already in production?
Yes — often the best scenario, since real usage data tells us which behaviours to reinforce. We ship a small first version and measure.
